I am currently based in Tuscany, Italy and Cairo, Egypt, having previously lived in the US, Netherlands and Britain. Trained in the UK as an archaeologist and anthropologist, most of my images reflect my continuing fascination with the prehistoric and historic past. Images of non-European cultures and historic landscapes also play a large part in my work. My love of the past is also often reflected in the presentation of my images - which often mimics historical styles of representation from faux prints to postcards and antique photographs. Terrific image and memory for me, Nigel! I drove over the Andes at just under 16,000 ft! Gasp! :) LF

That is a beautiful picture. I've never been there, but never had an urge to, till now. I was young when I took my few skips across oceans and wasn't very smart about film and exposure. I wish I knew then what I know now. You're picture makes me want to relive my days of travel and to seek new ones. Thank you!
